Learning to Soar!

I love roller coaster rides! I love the anticipation, the excitement, the climb, and when we fall or twist and turn, I relax totally and enjoy the sensation of soaring. I saw my students soar today. They willingly climbed into the ride of the task I set, and let go (unwillingly at times) of their deep held beliefs that kept them rooted. And as they soared, their eyes shone, their smiles widened and silent screams of joy were expressed as the began to see the light. A wonderful start to an exciting journey!

  1. What an extremely true metaphor.. It really was an eye opening experience and a very needed one. I don't think we will be talking, thinking and applying the same way anymore. A whole new door of experience and knowledge has been thrown our way. Hopefully we'll do the best of it.
    Until next time :)

  2. I,also, love roller coaster rides. But, I remember that when I used to ride them and when it got up high in the air, sometimes I used to close my eyes.Yet,the experience we went through last time in class, was an eye opener. I couldn't close my eyes or shut my thinking for even a while, because I didn't want to miss even a small part of it.For me, it was more of a Free Fall, the only thing that was acting against my body is my desire to learn more.

  3. "Roller coasters !
Omg, I fear them so much.
So now I get to know why I can't do this on my own, it's the collaboration and team work among my classmates along with the motivation of a professional leader, that actually push me beyond limits.
    Lucky me.
